Cables become stiff and brittle at freezing temperatures. If you are not able to replace the cables with cables designed for freezing temperatures, try to take as much weight off the cables using wide tape and twist ties to support the cable weight.

Be especially careful of any cables that may drag on the ground and ensure they are supported as well.
